We have been blessed to have a SCGGR alumni, Charlie (aka Prince Charles) for the past 11 years. We were honored to spoil this special, goofy, perfect pup right up until he could no longer lift his head. The vet found a huge mass on his liver so we chose to spend the next three weeks making sure he had one of his favorite stuffed animals under his head and making him all of his favorites: scrambled eggs, toast, pizza crust, cheese, and lunch meat. Even the neighbors came and fed him a quarter pounder with cheese and hour before the hospice vet came to our backyard to help our sweet boy cross over the rainbow bridge. Our hearts hurt in his absence and tears still flow freely. He was such a big presence in our house. He loved everyone and everyone loved him dearly. We’ve packed up his 4 large containers of stuffed animals and toys which we’ll keep for the day another sweet and goofy pup adopts us.
